This exclusive collector tag is crafted from the fuselage of Lockheed TriStar ZD948, an aircraft with a remarkable career in both commercial and military aviation.
 
Originally delivered to British Airways in 1980 as G-BFCA, this wide-body jet flew long-haul routes around the world before being acquired by the Royal Air Force in 1983 and re-registered as ZD948. It went on to serve for over three decades as a multi-role transport and air-to-air refuelling aircraft, operated by No. 216 Squadron from RAF Brize Norton.
 
Throughout its military career, ZD948 took part in critical operations, including troop transport and aerial refuelling missions in support of UK and NATO forces across the globe. The aircraft completed its final operational sortie in March 2014, marking the end of the TriStar era in RAF service.
